Tube settler

Tube settler

Tube settlers are a type of sedimentation technology used in water and wastewater treatment. They consist of a series of closely spaced parallel tubes or channels that are inclined at an angle to promote the settling of suspended solids in water. The tubes or channels are typically made of PVC, PP or HDPE.
As water flows through the tube settler, the suspended solids settle on the inclined surfaces of the tubes, which increases the settling rate and reduces the required settling time. The settled solids slide down the inclined surfaces of the tubes and settle at the bottom of the tank, where they can be removed using a sludge collector.

Advantages

Increased settling efficiency: The inclined surfaces of the tubes increase the surface area available for settling, which improves the settling efficiency and reduces the required settling time.

Compact design: Tube settlers have a compact design and require less space than conventional sedimentation tanks, making them ideal for use in areas with limited space. Low maintenance: Tube settlers require minimal maintenance and can operate continuously for long periods without needing cleaning or replacement.

Cost-effective: Tube settlers are a cost-effective alternative to conventional sedimentation tanks, as they require less space and can be easily retrofitted into existing treatment plants.

High flow rates: Tube settlers can handle high flow rates without compromising on settling efficiency, making them ideal for use in large-scale water treatment plants.
